New login screen
The login screen will offer two options for accessing the online banking system (Internet banking), either starting with your user number or starting with your personal user name. If you enter your user number, you will then need to enter your bank user name and PIN as usual. If you enter your personal user name, you then only need to enter your password. This change is being made in preparation for the security standards that will come into force on 14 September 2019 on the basis of the Payment Services Directive 2 (PSD2) and its Regulatory Technical Standards (RTS).
We are already offering the option of switching to a simpler login into the online banking system with a personal user name and password now.
You can decide when to make the switch, when it fits into your schedule. You can either make the switch right away, or at a later time. The online banking system will inform you of the change and guide you through the four-step process. This process takes just a few minutes. The four steps consist of choosing a user name, setting a password, defining a security question, and then signing the change. From this point on, you can only log in using your new access credentials!
New access credentials: personal user name and password
Up until now, you have needed to enter your user number, bank user name, and PIN to log into the online banking system. In future, you will only need your personal user name and password to log in.
Log into the online banking system as usual with your user number, bank user name, and PIN. After you log in, you will see a window with the prompt "Login method change to personal user name and password". You can now make the switch. The online banking system will guide you through the steps of the process, which just takes a few minutes.
If you wish to make the switch later, you can cancel the process.
Login method switch from the current "user number, bank user name, and PIN" to "personal user name and password" (three credentials to two credentials) in four steps:
- Set your user name
In the first step, we suggest a new user name, which you can confirm or change.
Note: Your user name must be at least 8 characters long and must contain at least one letter.
- Set your password
In the second step, you define a secure password. The strength of your password is shown when you enter it.
Note: Your password must be at least 8 characters long and must contain at least one character from three of the following categories: upper case letters, lower case letters, numbers, special characters. Your password may not contain your user name, your own name, your date of birth, or any parts of these.
- Define a security question
In the third step, you define a personal security question. You can use this security question to request and set a new password in the event that you forget your password.
- Summary and signature
All of your entries are shown again so that you can review and then confirm them. After you sign the change, the switch to the personal user name and password method is complete.
From this point on, you can only log in using your personal user name and password.
