Liquidity Risk Management Tools (LMTs)
New Liquidity Risk Management Tools (LMTs) for investment funds from 16 April 2026
The EU Delegated Regulation (RTS) guidelines on LMTs for UCITS and AIFs (in accordance with AIFMD II) will come into force on 16 April 2026.
Of the LMTs currently available, at least two tools must be applicable to each investment fund and must therefore also be incorporated into the respective fund rules.
The management company may use certain liquidity management tools to protect all investors fairly should exceptional market or liquidity situations arise (e.g. to avoid the sale of assets under unfavourable conditions). The aim is to ensure orderly redemptions of units and to avert disadvantages for remaining investors.
UniCredit Schoellerbank Invest AG has opted for the following LMT tools:
- Gating (redemption restriction)
- Notice periods (extension of the notice period)
If an LMT tool is used, we will inform you under “Mandatory disclosures/Overview”: Publications | Schoellerbank
